As the year 2020 came to a close, the Simulation/Adventure game category on Android devices saw various trends in the United Kingdom. Sensor Tower data offers us a glimpse into how five popular games fared in the fourth quarter.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery saw a revenue trend with figures starting at $52K in late September and dipping to around $44K by mid-November, before rising back up to approximately $50K by the end of December. Downloads showed a decline from 10K in late September to 3K at the end of November, but rebounded to around 9K by the year's end. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, decreasing from 101K to 77K in the same period, then increasing to 107K.

For PK XD: Fun, friends & games, revenue numbers fluctuated, starting at roughly $3K in late September and peaking at approximately $4K in late December. Downloads decreased from 8K to 5K between late September and early November, then slightly increased to around 7K by the end of December. The game's weekly active users saw a slight downtrend from 59K to 57K over the quarter.

Z & K Games' Scary Teacher 3D experienced minimal revenue changes, hovering around the $300 to $500 range throughout the quarter. Download numbers for the game showed a healthy increase from 5K in late September to 8K by the end of December. The weekly active users for Scary Teacher 3D remained fairly stable, ranging between 39K and 45K during the quarter.

Nintendo Co., Ltd.'s Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw a revenue dip from $9K in late September to around $5K in early December, before climbing back up to $7K by the end of the month. Downloads showed a similar pattern, with a dip from 4K to 3K and then an increase to 6K. Weekly active users decreased from 51K to 42K and then rose to 51K by the end of December.

Lastly, Hollywood Story®: Fashion Star by NANOBIT showed a revenue trend that began at $3.5K in late September and increased to around $6K by the end of December. Downloads saw a decrease from 2.5K to 1.5K in early December, but then rose to approximately 2.4K by the end of the month. The weekly active users for Hollywood Story®: Fashion Star were relatively stable, ranging from 24K to 26K throughout the quarter.
